[ ANNIE_HOME ]

The 7th annual Annie Haslam Candlelight Christmas Concert was held at the Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church in Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania, USA, on Saturday, December 15, 2001. The weather was clear and crisp and downright balmy compared to previous "freezefests."

Again this year, there was no opening act. Annie performed accompanied by Rave Tesar (piano/synth), John Rittweger (synths), David Keyes (bass/bvox), Angel Rittweger(bvox/percussion), and the returning Charles Descarfino in the drummer's chair to replace Joe Goldberger who has moved on to California.

Highlights of the evening were the performance of two old Renaissance chestnuts that were seldom played live during the band's concerts in the latter half of the 70s (Sounds Of The Sea from Prologue and At The Harbour from Ashes Are Burning), and Annie's encore cover of The Beatles' All You Need Is Love, which seemed entirely appropriate in the aftermath of September 11 and George Harrison's recent passing.
