Subject: gg: Announcing the First-Ever NY Tri-State GGetogether!!!

Hello Troubadours, Near & Far (but mostly Near)--

Big news, gang!

For the past month or more, a few of us have been plotting to concoct a meeting of New York "Tri-State" area On-Reflection list members. I volunteered to act as the e-mail coordinator and have been working behind the scenes since (U.S.) Thanksgiving trying to put something together. Rich Hilton, in particular, deserves special mention for being very helpful to me in this regard.

There are 14 of us (15 if you count Martha :-) living within a few hours drive of Manhattan that I/we know about, and these are the people who had direct input into the decisions that were made. These O-R'ers hail mainly from NY/Long Island, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. But we suspect that, now that the plans have been finalized, there may be other list members residing within striking distance of NYC who would wish to attend but who didn't want to get involved initially in the planning stages.

Therefore, without further ado, I happily announce the particulars for the FIRST-EVER NEW YORK TRI-STATE GGETOGETHER, and I offer an open invitation to ANY list member who can make it. We currently expect a turnout of a minimum of 7 O-R'ers, probably 9, with potential for more. The details follow below. The police and local media have been alerted. ;-)

If you are interested in attending, please read ALL of the remainder of this posting which contains pertinent logistical information. If you plan on attending and you were *NOT* on the original behind-the-scenes e-mail list, please send a brief message to me and/or Rich just so we will have a somewhat accurate head count. Thank you.

I hope to see a LOT of you at the Heartland on the 16th as we discuss the global ramifications of Tarkus with a groove and its possible effects on the time-space continuum.
